Performances
Kate Corkery and Winston Nzinga are an Irish/Caribbean duo. Kate, originally from Cork has delighted audiences throughout the U.K. and Ireland with her inspired performances and storytelling workshops. Winston, from Jamaica is a percussionist and storyteller whose music is spiced with rich vocals and traditional Afro Caribbean rhythms. Together they present enchanting stories, songs and music from their colourful cultures.
Their combined experience includes working with people of all ages and abilities, from under 5s to senior citizens.
Hairy Tales
Retained by popular demand. Suitable for all the family. A highly entertaining yet thought provoking show on human nature as observed in animals. Join in the Calypso songs, the reggae beat, the Celtic drum and African dance. Enjoy some tall hairy tales, some short silly ones and others with a bit of a twist at the end.
Suitable for KS1 (4-7 yrs) and KS2 (7-11 yrs).
Tortoise and Friends
Another old favourite show - Tortoise is a friend not to be forgotten in the programme. Do you know how Tortoise cracked his shell? Could you help him put it back together again? Children are invited to help Tortoise by joining in the riddles, rhymes, dancing and singing in this exciting interactive programme drawing tortoise stories from the Caribbean, Zimbabwe, South America and Ireland.
Suitable for under 7s.
Telling Stones
A programme where no stone is left unturned without its story being revealed. Think of a world without stones and realise what a mushy place we'd live in. From sparkling gem stones fulfilling dreams of wealth and treasures, to ancient stones of destiny predicting disaster, from tiny grains of sand to giant mountain boulders, all have their stories to tell. Children are invited to pick a stone and help unearth its secret. Come hear telling stone stories come hear Telling Stones. This programme also includes songs, games, and rhythms using stones - a sort of rock and pebble show.
Suitable for KS2 (7-11 yrs) and KS3 (11-14 yrs).
