Due to the overwhelmingly positive response to their training methods, Spud and Yam are regularly invited to lead courses with Early Years advisers supporting the introduction of Letters and Sounds – Phonics for Early Years – Phase One. Aspects 1-7. Each aspect set out in the document is explored through activities that put the theory into practice. There are songs, games, rhyming stories etc to focus on environmental sounds/ instrumental sounds/body percussion/rhythm and rhyme/alliteration/voice sounds etc. All are brought to life through engaging, contemporary multicultural material.
